| Diagnosis: | Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal soft rays: 5-5; Vertebrae: 36-36. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: reduced posterior chamber of air-bladder; six branched pelvic-fin rays; seven branched dorsal-fin rays; the tip of the male pelvic fin not reaching the anus; vertebrae 4 + 32; head depth at nape 59.6-68.1% HL; and body depth at dorsal-fin origin 14.0-16.1% SL (Ref. 138304). | |||
