Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Labeoninae
Max. size:  40 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Thailand to Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Deep body; no spots on body (Ref. 12693).
Biology:  Occurs from midwater to bottom depth in large and medium sized rivers. Does not persist in impoundments. Occurs regularly in fisheries of the middle and lower Mekong. Used to make prahoc (Ref. 12693).
