Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 12-12; Dorsal soft rays (total): 19-20; Anal spines: 3-3; Anal soft rays: 7-7. Black with white crossbars, fading to grey with 4 white bars; lips, skin around mouth and pectorals pink in color (Ref. 2799). | |||
Biology: | Found on coral reefs (Ref. 9710) as well as in littoral pools (Ref. 5213). Solitary species (Ref. 2799). | |||
