This species is distinguished be having a spinulated (without gap) posterior and lower edges of praeoperculum; insertion of ventral fins in front of the vertical of posterior edge of pectoral fin insertion; upper jaw extends beyond the vertical of posterior edge of eye; soft rays of dorsal fin 10, of anal fin 8-9; gill rakers at the first arch 31; vertebrae 25; pyloric caeca 9 (Ref. 83717). | |||
