Max. size:  50 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia and Oceania: Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 1-1; Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 20-22
Biology:  Feeds mainly on higher plants, including a variety of fruits, but also takes ants, grasshoppers, beetles, small crabs and prawns.
