Distribution:  Asia: China.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 7-7; Anal soft rays: 5-5. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: whole body, excluding head and abdomen, sparsely covered with minute scales; barbels elongate; 5-6 branched pectoral fin rays; four branched pelvic-fin rays; caudal-peduncle height 34.9%-58.6% of its length; head width 7.3%-10.3% of SL; head height 50.2%-80.6% of lateral head length (Ref. 133036).
Biology:  This species are found in waters with muddy substrate. They primarily feed on algae and organic detritus (Ref. 133036).
