Distribution:  Asia: Mekong River in Laos.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 2-2; Dorsal soft rays (total): 5-5; Anal soft rays: 11-11; Vertebrae: 35-35. Eye very small (4%HL). Length of adipose-fin base 12.6% SL. Interorbital distance 28% HL. Sharply contrasted color pattern of dark yellow patches on chocolate brown body. Total vertebrae 35. Gill rakers on first gill arch 1+5. Dorsal third of the flanks with small tubercles (Ref. 56231). Description: Dorsal-fin rays II,4,i; anal-fin rays iii,6,ii; pectoral-fin rays I,7; pelvic-fin rays i,5 (Ref. 56231).
