Family:  Cyprinidae (Minnows or carps), subfamily: Barbinae
Max. size:  22 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: northern Thailand to Cambodia and southern Viet Nam. Reported from the lower Myanmar (Ref. 4832).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Lives in mountain streams (Ref. 4832), usually under complete forest canopy (Ref. 12693). Feeds mainly on insect larvae along with small amount of detritus and periphyton (Ref. 12693).
