Family:  Botiidae (Pointface loaches), subfamily: Botiinae
Max. size:  10.55 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Mekong basin in Laos, Yunnan and Thailand.
Diagnosis:  Body with 7-10 broad, faintly contrasted bars; dorsal and anal fins with faint median row of spots; body slender, depth 4.3-5.0 times in SL (Ref. 43281).
Biology:  Inhabits streams and rivers with rocky bottoms. Feed on algae and insects. Omnivore (Ref. 26054).
