Family:  Telmatherinidae (Sailfin silversides)
Max. size:  6.8 cm SL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  pelagic; freshwater, non-migratory
Distribution:  Asia: Lakes Towuti, Mahalona and possibly Wawontoa, Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 8-11; Anal soft rays: 12-16. Distinguished from the other species by the combination of the following characters: second dorsal fin and anal fin posteriorly rounded, 11-14 predorsal scales, 31-34 scales in longitudinal row; anal fin with 12-15 branched rays (Ref 7304).
Biology:  Ref. 7304 reports the re-diagnosis of T. celebensis.
