Distribution:  Asia: Lake Mahalona, Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal soft rays (total): 9-10. Differs from its only known congener, T. sanguicauda, in having 31-36 gill-rakers on first gill-arch (vs. 27-31) and in the coloration of the living males (body silvery with yellow or red spots; caudal, dorsal, anal and pelvic plain red or yellow, or hyaline with yellow or red dots) (Ref. 7304). Description: D1 VI-VII; D2 I,9-10 (Ref. 7304).
