Family:  Ailiidae (Asian schilbeids)
Max. size:  16.5 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater, potamodromous
Distribution:  Asia: Malaysia and Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Anal soft rays: 39-42
Biology:  Found in large rivers and feeds on small fishes (Ref. 56749). Oviparous, eggs are unguarded (Ref. 205).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 01 September 2018 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from Sumatra (Palembang, Lahat, Lematang Enim, Ringat, Sidjundjung, Djambi), Borneo (Kapuas), Java (Ref. 2091, 39209). Found only during the dry season in the Kapuas Lakes area in Kalimantan Barat, Borneo (Ref. 56749). It moves to areas near the Kapuas main river during the wet season (Ref. 56749). Recorded from Danau Sentarum National Park in the Kapuas basin, Kalimantan Barat, Borneo (Ref. 56749).
