Environment:  demersal; freshwater; pH range: 6.5 - 7; dH range: 5 - 8
Distribution:  Asia: Sumatra, Borneo and Malaya.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in river mainstream and low gradient tributaries with logs and leaf-litter on the bottom (Ref. 7050). Feeds on insects and small fishes such as Rasbora spp. (Ref. 56749).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 08 April 2020 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Known from Sumatra (Ref. 26580) and Lake Tundai, South Borneo (Ref. 42107). Widely distributed and very common during the dry season in the Kapuas Lakes Area in western Borneo (Ref. 56749). Recorded from Danau Sentarum National Park in the Kapuas basin of Borneo, Kalimantan Barat (Ref. 56749).
