Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Asia: Thailand to Indonesia.
Diagnosis:  Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 0-0; Anal soft rays: 74-83. Head length 6.5-7.2 times in SL; a single patch of vomerine teeth (Ref. 12693).
Biology:  Found in rivers, streams and canals. Feeds mainly on small fishes, along with prawns and insect larvae. Marketed fresh (Ref. 12693).

Threat to humans:  harmless
