Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater; pH range: 7; dH range: 10 - 20
Distribution:  Central America: Pacific slope of Guatemala.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found on various types of substrates, from mud to sand and rocks, in lower, middle and upper river valleys. Oviparous (Ref. 205).

Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Recorded from Rio Chicapa and Rio Tehuantepec in Oaxaca (Ref. 7335). Occurrence in the country is not confirmed (Ref. 36377).
