Max. size:  4 cm TL (male/unsexed); 5 cm TL (female)
Environment:  demersal; freshwater
Distribution:  Central America: restricted to the Purificación and Marabasco river basins, on the Pacific slope of west-central Mexico.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  In small creeks with dense vegetation; feeds on algae.
