Description: Characterized by semi-transparent body with readily visible dark vertebral column; side of snout with black spot; caudal fin base with large double black spot; absence of scales on head and body; large spine at middle of preopercular margin; greatest depth of body 3.5-4.5 in SL (Ref. 90102). |
Occurs around coral reefs, schooling with young of other apogonids (Ref. 559). Nocturnal species (Ref. 7300). |
