Family:  Mochokidae (Squeakers or upside-down catfishes), subfamily: Mochokinae
Max. size:  16.2 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  Africa: known from the Akagera River system in Rwanda (Ref. 40373, 46152) and Burundi (Ref. 40373, 98755).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Benthic species; inhabits rivers; omnivore (Ref. 80296). Main component of diet is insect larvae, followed by molluscs (Ref. 78218). Oviparous (Ref. 205).
