Environment:  bathydemersal; marine; depth range 304 - 520 m
Distribution:  Eastern Indian Ocean: off north-western Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits upper continental slope (Ref. 114953). Length of adolescent males between 38.0-50.6 cm TL, smallest juvenile 13.8 cm TL (Ref. 75649).
IUCN Red List Status: Least Concern (LC); Date assessed: 25 April 2015 Ref. (130435)
Threat to humans:  harmless
Country info:  Type locality, south-west of Rowley Shoals, Western Australia, CSIRO H 4071-15 (holotype of Dipturus healdi, 57.9 cm TL, adult male). Known from the upper continental slope off Western Australia from the Monte Bello Islands (19°18′S, 115°42′ E) to south of Scott Reef (14°12′ S, 122°32′ E) in 304-520 m (Ref. 75649)..
