Comments | Presence in the country may be a result of accidental or deliberate introduction. No Gambusia spp. were found where Xiphophorus maculatus was abundant. Might represent a case of competitive exclusion in which Xiphophorus replaces Gambusia in low salinity habitats. Found in the Paradise Island, New Providence. Ref: Barton, M and C. Wilmhoff, 1996 |
