Comments: Spawns in rivers, as much as 500 km or more upstream, but also in lower reaches. The young descend quickly, but remain in or near the deltas or estuaries until winter. During one spawning season, females usually release 3 batches of eggs within about 45 days; eggs usually released in the afternoon from 1300-2000 hrs. (Ref. 10450).
