| Comments: | Spawning aggregations started several days before full moon at a depth of 27 m. Just after full moon, hydration of oocytes began and fish moved to 35 m depth. Spawning occurred 6-9 days after full moon. Striking larval characteristics: well-developed dorsal, pelvic, and preopercular spines with spinelets, and a dense caudal pigment patch. | |||||||||||
