At 4.7 mm TL, dorsal pigment rows present; caudal fin elements present. At 5.3 mm TL, spines of 1st dorsal fin and soft rays od 2nd dorsal fin evident. At 5.3 mm TL, anal rays complete. At 7.0 mm SL, pigmentation becomes somewhat dense. At about 14.5 mm, 2 anal spines present (3rd spine develops from 1st ray at about 30-40 mm, considered end of larval period). Specimens appear almost black. |
