पृष्ठीय रीढ़ (सम्पूर्ण): 9; पृष्ठीय सौफट रेज़ (सम्पूर्ण): 20-22; गुदा कांटा 3; ऐनल सौफट रेज़: 16 - 18. Greenish blue above, silvery grey below; blackish blotch on upper opercular margin; caudal fin yellowish (Ref. 3197). Adult males with 3-8 central dorsal and anal filamentous rays; LL with 17-29 scutes.

Adults inhabit coastal waters of the continental shelf (Ref. 5213, 7300).
