Comments: Recorded from Ban Hang Khone, a village on an island in the middle of the mainstream Mekong River just below the Great Khone Waterfalls in Khong District, Champasak Province (Ref. 37767). Listed as Glossogobius cf. koragensis in Ref. 30857. Also Ref. 12693.

Asia and Oceania: Previously known only from New Guinea, this species is relatively common in the lower Mekong and occurs upstream as far as Khoné Falls.
