পৃষ্ঠীয় কাঁটা (মোট ): 0; পৃষ্ঠীয় নরম পাখনা দন্ড (মোট ): 0; পায়ূর নরম পাখনা্তুন্ড: 74 - 83. Head length 6.5-7.2 times in SL; a single patch of vomerine teeth (Ref. 12693).

Found in rivers, streams and canals. Feeds mainly on small fishes, along with prawns and insect larvae. Marketed fresh (Ref. 12693).
