Type locality of some syntypes of Pellonula miodon: 'Tembwi and Vua, Lake Tanganyika' (Ref. 1872). Type locality of the holotype of Microthrissa (Potamothrissa) stappersii: 'Lac Moero, Lukonzolwa' (Ref. 2266), but this type locality is probably erroneous, as type specimens were probably collected in Lake Tanganyika (Ref. 26733). Known from Lake Tanganyika (Ref. 1872, 1878, 26733, 27631, 28136, 36901, 41363, 41590, 45485, 46251, 83760). Introduced in Lake Kivu (Ref. 1739, 28136), which created a significant pelagic fishery (Ref. 7270). |
