Known from the lower Delaware River drainage in Pennsylvania to Savannah River drainage in Georgia; Ohio River basin in West Virginia and Ohio to northeast Mississippi. Common to abundant on Atlantic Slope and parts of Ohio basin; absent in Ohio River basin between central Ohio and Cumberland River (including most of Kentucky); rare in Cumberland River drainage (Ref. 86798). Also Ref. 5723, 10294.
