Found in all river systems except the Upper Zambezi, Pungwe and Lower Save/Runde. Occurs mostly in dams but some weirs on rivers have been stocked. Breeding in rivers does not seem to be successful, although a wild population exists in a small tributary of the Buzi River near Mt. Selinda. Also Ref. 1739, 27619. |
