Specimens were collected from Calbiga-a creek, Leyte in 1993 (Ref. 7223). Also known from the type localities of Bathygobius laoe Roxas & Ablan, 1940 from Dagupan, Pangasinan Province (BSMP 31948, destroyed in WWII) and Mapo mearnsi Evermann & Seale, 1906 from Zamboanga Province (USNM 55624, 1 of 3) (Ref. 280).
