Known from the Mekong. At Thalabovirrat near the Khone Falls, it migrates upstream in May-June and from Stung Treng to Kompong Cham Province, this fish migrate downstream during this period (Ref. 37770). Reported to migrate upstream in Kandal Province, near Phnom Penh from Viet Nam during March-May, peaking up to 5 days and involving sizes between 40 to 90 cm (Ref. 37770). Migrations below the Khone Falls are triggered by the increase of water levels (Ref. 37770). Also Ref. 36654.
