Type locality, purchased in Okinawa Central Fish Market, and according to the fish buyer was taken from Iriomote Island, NSMT-P 93818 (holotype of Acanthopagrus pacificus, 34.8 cm SL, female). Occurs only in estuaries of the Ryukyu Islands (Ref. 559). Also Ref. 9902. Status of threat: Vulnerable (Ref. 94887). |
