Comments

Reported to be restricted to northern Algeria and only a captive population originating from a single collection by Van Der Zee & Vonk (1991) remains. Despite intensive field work, no additional populations have been found and thus this species appears to be extinct in the wild (Ref. 126233). Also reported from wells and brooks in the Atlas mountains, between Batna and Constantine (Ref. 3788).
