Bismarck sild
(English) Herring block fillets or whole herring, headed and gutted, cured in acidified brine usually in barrels or other containers; after finished curing packed with acidified brine or lower vinegar and salt content, also with slices of onions, cucumbers, carrots and spices, also with sugar added.
