nocturnal
(English) Active (and performing most of its functions) at night, including courtship and spawning, resting during day. Opposite of diurnal. [Mainly noturnal: Mainly active during night, to a lesser extent also during crepuscular periods and day; spawning may take place during day.] (See also: diurnal, crepuscular)
nocturne
(French) Actif et exécute la plupart de ses fonctions pendant la nuit ; antonyme de diurne. (See also: diurnal, crepuscular)
