Without lateral line, without infraorbital process; with mostly 7 branched dorsal fin rays and 10 branched anal fin rays. Can be distinguished from other Danio species by the following combination of characters: narrow, indistinct dark vertical bars anteriorly on the sides, followed by a wide, indistinct, tapering horizontal stripe to the end of the caudal peduncle; barbels absent. |
