This species is distinguished by the following characters: diagonally slanting grey and yellow bars on body; nape scaled with about 5-6 predorsal scales; pectoral fin with 16-17 unbranched rays; unbranched fifth pelvic-fin ray, about half length of fourth ray; interorbital region with a U-shaped trench and no postorbital trenches (Ref. 112075). |
