Diagnosis

Acute snout 70-80°. Eye diameter 2.4-3.35 times in HL. Distal margins of dorsal and caudal fins bright yellow. Snout and suborbital region naked; cheeks, opercle scaly; preopercle scaly except at its posterior margin. Mouth low, slightly oblique. Scales on transverse series 5-6 + 12-15 (Ref. 48491).
