Longitudinal scales 52-65; TRB 14-20; predorsal scales small, 22-36, extending past preopercular margin but not reaching eyes; scales on body mostly ctenoid; third or fourth spine of dorsal fin longest; body relatively compressed and slender; snout and jaws long, mouth terminal; gill opening oblique, pectoral girdle smooth (Ref. 43716). |
