Etymology: Nematobrycon: Greek, nemas, -atos = filament + Greek, bryko = abyss (Ref. 45335).
Eponymy: Rosario S LaCorte is an American aquarist who served in the US Army Corps (1947–1951) and made five collecting expeditions to South America (1977–1988). He wrote: Enjoy your Cichlids (1969) and An Aquarist’s Journey (2018). (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
