Dorsal soft rays (total): 11; Anal soft rays: 13 - 15. Distinguished by having a body depth of 3.2 or less in SL; seven pectoral filaments, some extending well past midpoint of anal fin; interorbital region of frontals concave.
Reaches at least 16 cm SL (Ref. 39607).
