Maturity: Lm 8.9, range 8 - 10.2 cm
Max length : 10.0 cm SL male/unsexed; (Ref. 4502)
Hard, sharp head spines. Scales on body and operculum intact (Ref. 37108).
Body shape (shape guide): fusiform / normal.
Adults found mainly below 400 - 500 meters, to 800 - 1,000 meters; juveniles as shallow as 50 - 100 meters (Ref. 51657).
