Body black on back and sides, tiny black stripes along sides of body. Barbels 2 pairs; outer edge of dorsal fin truncated; pectoral fin long and its tip reaching origin of pelvic fin.

Lives in slow flowing deep water in rocky substratum. Carnivore, feeds mainly on zoobenthos (Ref. 45563).
