Dorsal soft rays (total): 11 - 14; Anal soft rays: 8. Diagnosis: mouth inferior; two pairs of well-developed barbels, anterior pair 0.67, posterior pair 0.9x eye diameter; last simple ray of dorsal fin ossified at base, not serrated, measuring 1.05-1.17 times head length; 27-30 scales in lateral line; known from Equatorial Guinea and Gabon (Ref. 81639).
