Lateral line incomplete, ending beneath soft portion of dorsal fin. Diagonal rows of scales on cheek 6; maxilla scaled; top of head scaled to nostrils. Ventral margin of preopercle with one antrorse spine; dorsal margin with 14-19 coarse serrae. Caudal fin rounded (Ref. 10670).
