This species is distinguished by head length 2.9-3.0 times in SL; maximum body height 24.3 - 26.4% SL; preanal length 52.5 - 58.4% SL, prevental length 30% SL; anal fin with 30 (31) rays; developed rakers on the first gill arch 16; mouth and pectoral fin light (Ref. 122568).
