Body width 14.9-17% SL; predorsal length 34.6-36.1% SL. Large vomerine tooth plate bordered by long and slender palatine tooth plates. A 2-chambered swim bladder is confined to the abdomen.

Βιολογία     Γλωσσάρι (π.χ. epibenthic)

Facultative air-breathing (Ref. 126274); Collected from freshwater near the mouth; inhabits large pools near the sea, with deep and turbid waters. In the upper reaches, inhabits torrential areas with clear water (altitude 200-400 m). Immature specimens occur all over the basin; mature ones apparently present only in the upper reaches in running water. Mature ones observed to be able to cross major waterfalls by jumping out of the water. Reproductive behaviors unknown.
