脊椎骨: 109. Dorsal with irregular reticulated light brown to reddish-brown pattern over disc, pelvic fins and tail, demarcating white or creamy-white oval; reniform and circular spots of variable sizes over disc, and small white spots on dorsal and caudal fins. Eyes large and bulging. Circular spiracles with markedly elevated rims and complete antero-lateral margin. Interorbital distance greater than interspiracular distance. First dorsal fin greater than second in height. Individual teeth with small lateral cusplets; upper and lower tooth bands roughly equal in width and broadly rounded.
背部有在體盤，腹鰭與尾部上的不規則的網狀淡褐色到紅褐色的圖案,定界線白色或乳白色的橢圓形; 在體盤上的可變大小的腎臟形而圓形斑點 , 與在背鰭與尾鰭鰭上的白色小斑點。 眼大的而且凸出。 圓形的噴水孔有顯著升高的邊緣與完全的前側邊緣。 眼間距大於呼吸孔間的距離。 在高度方面的第一背鰭大於第二個。 個體牙齒有小的側面 cusplets; 上、下齒箍概略寬度相等而且寬廣地圓的。
Occurs above sandy bottom near rocky reef areas. Females reaches maturity at 32 cm TL, males at ca. 24 cm TL; born at ca. 12 cm TL (Ref. 114953).
生存在岩石的礁區附近的上方沙質底部。
