Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt) : 34 - 38. This species is distinguished from its congeners by the following set of characters: pectoral fin rays 16-19; dorsal fin rays 36-38; tail rings 28-30 ; subdorsal tail rings 7.5-9.5 (Ref. 132364).
Cross section: angular.
Found and caught in rivers where specimens occur on rocky substrate with pebbles. The water was clear and well-oxygenated, the river banks were covered with vegetation and the water was shaded and kept fresh by the the presence of trees (Ref. 132364).
