Etymology: Panaqolus: Derived from Panaque, see; pantostiktos: Name 'pantostiktos' from the Greek words 'pantoú' and 'stiktós', meaning 'everywhere' and 'spotted, spotty, or punctuate', in reference to the ubiquitous spotting of the new species.
